Rituals:
The spa rituals honor age-old traditions of healing and beautifying
the skin. These exotic treatments can last between 30minutes and two
indulging hours. You will learn how to perform, present and capture
the essence of Bali for a spa experience that is truly unique.
Products
used: Lulur, Boreh, Coconut and Coffee.
Traditional jamu drinks and tonics may be offered at the end of each
ritual and recipes will be supplied.
Lulur
“Lulur” is a traditional beauty ritual from the royal palaces
of Central Java, Indonesia. It is famous for the beautifying and the
softening benefits for the skin. A body masque of herbs, roots, spices
and flowers is applied, allowed to dry and rubbed off. Milk and yogurt
neutralise and soften the skin, before soaking in a tropical flower
bath. The floral bath becomes colour therapy, using the seven-chakra
colours to help balance the body.
Bali
Boreh
Bali Boreh is a village remedy originated by Balinese rice farmers.
Standing knee-deep in water and stooping over in rice fields day after
day leads to rheumatic aches and pains. A combination of roots, spices
and bark is crushed into a healing pack, which helps warm the body,
relieve aching joints, sore muscles and headaches. Handed down through
the generations, the treatment it is recognised as traditional medicine.
Coconut
Scrub: Fresh Coconut and Vanilla makes a tropical delight as
a scrub for all skin types
Coffee
Scrub: Ground coffee beans from Bali make this a stimulating
anti-cellulite scrub
The
course will be from 10am – 5pm
We will begin with enlightenment work using cards. Discuss traditions
and benefits. Product knowledge and step by step of each treatment.
Presentation and facilities are discussed for a variety of procedures.
Bringing the product out of the bottle. Drinks and tonics listings for
the final touch. Retail products available from the UK distributor.
As
this is a practical day you may wish to wear your uniform (optional)
The scrubs can get quite messy! A change of underwear is optional if
you do not like disposable panties. Please bring your lunch with you
and you may cook on the day.
